This training allows her to assist clients in recognizing unhealthy thought patterns and working together to create more helpful and productive thought patterns.

Vanessa is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This allows her to assist clients who have experienced trauma to reprocess those memories and decrease the intensity of the emotions felt.

Vanessa practices from a client-centered perspective, meaning she works hard to create an environment where individuals feel heard, and their opinions, ideas, and goals are respected. Vanessa believes in working together to create a relationship where positive changes occur and individuals feel empowered within their own lives.

I am thrilled to join the team at Dadirri Psychological as a Registered Psychologist. With three decades dedicated to studying the intricate dynamics of abuse and coercive control, I bring a profound depth of understanding to my clinical practice. My therapeutic work is entirely focused on deep psychological healing, specifically in the areas of trauma recovery, navigating ADHD, and healing from the complex, lasting impacts of abuse.

Healing from coercive control requires more than just time; it requires a safe, validating space to untangle the confusion, rebuild your sense of self, and process the trauma that is held in both your mind and body. I understand how deeply these experiences impact your nervous system, and I am here to help you navigate the path back to yourself. We will work together to disrupt painful relational patterns and fundamentally change your trajectory.

Alongside trauma recovery, I specialize in supporting neurodivergent individuals navigating the unique complexities of ADHD. Living with ADHD often means navigating a world not built for your brain, which can carry its own subtle traumas and frustrations. My goal in our clinical work is to help you understand your unique neurobiology, develop self-compassion, and build strategies that actually work for you, rather than against you.

Recognizing that deep healing doesn’t always happen while sitting face-to-face in a clinical room, I offer flexible session formats. Whether you prefer the traditional comfort of the therapy couch or the grounding movement of walk and talk therapy, we can choose the environment that best supports your nervous system. For many people—especially those processing heavy trauma or managing an active ADHD brain—walking alongside one another takes the pressure off. Moving our bodies while we talk can help regulate the nervous system and allow you to process difficult emotions more organically.

Ultimately, my mission as a clinician is to help you reclaim your autonomy and permanently break cycles. Whether we are untangling the past or navigating the present, I provide a collaborative, compassionate space designed to empower you to move forward with clarity, self-trust, and strength.
